Dr. Sherrie G Ridenour:
Dr. Ridenour was strongly influenced at the time of entering general practice by the emerging veterinary focus on dental radiography, pain management and positive reinforcement with a focus on puppy training. These priorities carry through the practice still today. Dental radiography is now digital and further increases the capability of providing the quality of life and health that good dental care provides pets. Pain management provides comfort to patients, including local anesthetics, injectable and oral narcotics as well as judicious use of non steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAID's). Patients also benefit from a buffet of treats and a welcoming staff that understand the fear that patients may have in the veterinary office. This positive reinforcement encourages patients to relax and many to greet us with enthusiasm at subsequent visits. Puppy classes held at our office also help to create well-socialized puppies that love coming to see us.
Dr. Ridenour shares her passion for veterinary medicine with her husband, Dr. Robert G Sherding, who is a veterinary internal medicine specialist at The Ohio State University. Together they are greeted at home by their Capital Area Humane Society adopted mix "Sundance", a rescued American Foxhound "Sunshine", and a mischievous cat rescued from a car engine "Moonster".
Her favorite past time is her show horse, Antarez or "Z", who competes with her locally in Dressage. |
